Privacy policy

HoriCast places particular importance on the protection of personal data. This policy explains which data we collect, for what purpose, how long we retain it and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Data controller

The data controller is:

2. Data collected

We only collect the data you voluntarily provide through the contact form:

  • First and last name
  • Professional email address
  • Company and role (optional)
  • Message content

No sensitive data is collected (political opinions, health, orientation, biometric data, etc.).

3. Purposes and legal basis

Primary purpose: respond to business and technical enquiries received through the contact form, and follow up on the professional exchanges that may result.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6.1.f) · conducting B2B commercial activities initiated by the data subject.

4. Data recipients

The collected data is processed by:

  • HoriCast (internal team, authorised to handle business enquiries)
  • Resend, Inc. · transactional email service, data processor under GDPR (USA)
  • Cloudflare, Inc. · website hosting provider, data processor under GDPR (USA)

No data is sold, rented or transferred to third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

5. Retention period

  • Contact form data: 3 years from last contact
  • Professional email exchanges: duration of the business relationship, followed by legal archiving
  • Server logs (Cloudflare): 30 days maximum

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Our processors Resend and Cloudflare may process data from the United States. These transfers are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) adopted by the European Commission, providing a level of protection equivalent to that required by GDPR.

7. Cookies and trackers

This site does not use any cookies.

Visit statistics (page views, referrers, device) are handled by Plausible Community Edition, a self-hosted solution on HoriCast infrastructure, GDPR-compliant by design: no cookies set, no personal data collected, no profiling performed. Collected data is anonymous and aggregated.

8. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16)
  • Right to erasure · "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20)
  • Right to object (Art. 21)

9. Complaint to the CNIL

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority:
