mimoLive® is an all-in-one live production application for Mac, developed by Boinx Software International GmbH. Multi-camera switching, an animated graphics engine, streaming encoder, recorder, multiview and audio/video routing all live inside a single piece of software on a single machine. It suits a mobile multi-camera control room as readily as a permanent automated studio, for organised productions run by small teams.
Editions and permitted use
Which edition applies comes down to the type of organisation, not the camera count or the size of the production. Either way the term is annual, with three-year and five-year options and multi-seat discounts available from the reseller on request. Boinx also builds custom layers to order and offers one-to-one coaching sessions.
A full control room on one Mac
Switching, graphics, recording, streaming and multiview share one application. Less gear to move, fewer points of failure, and a control room one or two people can run.
NDI® throughout
mimoLive has supported NDI® since its early versions. Cameras, returns and outputs travel over Ethernet with no capture card, and PTZ control rides the same link.
Automation and control surfaces
The Automation layer and the HTTP API fire graphics, camera cuts and content updates. Purpose-built control surfaces open in any browser, remotely if needed, so non-technical operators can run the show.
Everything is graphics
Every layer mixes logos, titles, backgrounds, alpha-channel video and live feeds with pixel-level control. Graphics stop being a separate box and become the switcher itself.

| Capability | What it changes on the floor |
|---|---|
| Multi-camera switching | NDI®, SDI, HDMI, USB and network sources cut from one interface, with no dedicated hardware switcher. |
| Layer-based graphics engine | Lower thirds, scoreboards, animated backgrounds and overlays built inside the switcher, with no third-party graphics package. |
| Simultaneous streaming and recording | Simulcast to several platforms while the programme and its sources are recorded locally. |
| Remote guests | mimoCall, the Zoom Meeting source and browser sources bring a remote contributor straight into the programme. |
| HTTP API and Automation layer | Graphics and cuts triggered by script, by a third-party system or from a browser control surface on any device. |
| Virtual camera and SDI playout | The programme feeds a video call or an SDI infrastructure through a supported output interface. |
| macOS-only development | A native application tuned for Apple hardware, including entry-level Apple Silicon Macs. |

Mobile multi-camera NDI® control room
A Mac, a network switch and NDI® cameras are enough to stand up a full control room on site. Cameras arrive over Ethernet, PTZ control shares the same cable, and the programme streams out while sources record.
For: Event production companies, mobile control rooms, AV integrators
One-button self-service studio
The HTTP API and Automation layer hide the control room behind a stripped-back interface. An untrained user starts and stops a production without ever opening the software.
For: Universities, training centres, in-house corporate studios
Recurring institutional broadcasts
Council meetings, assemblies, services and teaching sessions follow the same run of show every week. Graphics templates and automation cut preparation time and keep the schedule achievable with a small team.
For: Public bodies, education, places of worship
An addition to an existing broadcast chain
Used as a graphics generator, transcoder, multiview or bridge between an NDI® estate and SDI infrastructure, mimoLive slots into a chain that is already running rather than replacing it.
For: Local stations, community media, broadcast operations
